Small but neat area to land. I was there practicing with my instructor. Left pattern passes right over interstate70. Good learning experience.
First, it has been a while since I flew into Brookville. It is a friendly air park to visit. Between the runway, and partway gown the taxiway, a public, although small road crosses the taxiway, Aircraft actually have a stop sign, to make sure the road is clear. Other than that, it is a nice airstrip east-west. Stop in to take a look a the pics, of when a D.C.-3 make an emergency landing, running out of fuel. Story goes, it sucked every drop of fuel they had in their tanks, from the FBO.
